Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai for a Steel Structure / Free Form Structure Detailer with expertise in Rhino. The detailer will interpret architectural and engineering concepts and translate them into accurate 3D models and detailed shop drawings for complex steel and free-form structures. Daily responsibilities include developing Rhino-based models, preparing fabrication and erection drawings, coordinating with design and project teams, and ensuring that details align with structural, architectural, and fabrication requirements. The role involves reviewing and resolving detailing issues, optimizing connections and joints, and supporting the site and fabrication teams with clear, coordinated documentation. The detailer will also contribute to quality control, adherence to project timelines, and continuous improvement of detailing standards and workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in steel detailing and steel structures, including complex and free-form geometries.
- Experience in preparing shop drawings and interpreting architectural drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Understanding of rebar detailing and coordination with structural requirements where applicable.
- Advanced skills in Rhino (3D modeling), with the ability to create precise, fabrication-ready models.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards for structural steel and architectural metal work.
- Attention to detail, strong visualization skills, and the ability to work with complex geometries.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, engineering, and site teams.
- Diploma or degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or architectural engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with other detailing or CAD software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in façade, free-form structures, or specialty steel projects is beneficial.
