Role Description
The STEAM Trainer is a full-time, on-site role located in Rohtak, responsible for delivering engaging sessions in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to school students and other learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lesson content, preparing teaching materials and kits, conducting interactive classroom and lab activities, and demonstrating experiments and projects that promote practical understanding. The trainer will guide learners through project-based work, support them during workshops and competitions, and provide regular feedback on their progress. The role also involves coordinating with school staff, maintaining training equipment, documenting session outcomes, and contributing to the improvement of curricula and teaching methods. The STEAM Trainer is expected to stay updated on educational best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and an interest in integrating Arts into learning.
- Experience in classroom teaching, training, or facilitation, preferably with school-age learners or early college students.
- Ability to design and deliver hands-on, project-based learning modules, experiments, and demonstrations.
- Effective communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Comfort with basic educational technologies, computers, and common software tools used in teaching and learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field; a teaching certification or trainer experience is an advantage.
- Organizational skills for scheduling sessions, maintaining materials, and documenting learner progress and outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with school administrators, teachers, and other trainers.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for experimenting with new teaching methods and emerging STEAM tools.
- Prior experience in workshop facilitation, school outreach programs, or educational projects in Rohtak or nearby regions is a plus.
