Company Description Grey Sim Learnings Foundation (GSLF) is a Section 8 non-profit organization established in December 2013, working in education, livelihood, and life skills development. The foundation focuses on industry-relevant vocational skills for youth, especially in Electronics, Telecom, and Renewable Energy, along with capacity building for vocational trainers. GSLF promotes experiential learning through STEM labs that introduce school learners to 3D printing, IoT, and robotics in an engaging, hands-on environment. The organization also leads awareness and action campaigns on e-waste and runs IndiaRescue.org, a program for first aid, fire-fighting, and community-based disaster preparedness training. GSLF is supported by reputed partners such as HSBC, TataSky, HCL Foundation, Tech Mahindra Foundation, Sandvik Asia, JSW Foundation, Whirlpool, Voltas, and NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited.
Role Description The Solar Trainer will deliver classroom and practical training on solar energy systems, with a focus on design, installation, operation, and maintenance aligned to industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning training sessions, preparing lesson plans and training materials, conducting hands-on labs and demonstrations, and assessing participant performance through assignments and evaluations. The role involves mentoring learners, providing guidance on safety practices, coordinating with internal teams on schedules and resources, and maintaining training equipment and lab infrastructure. The Solar Trainer will also help update curricula based on technological and policy changes in the renewable energy sector and support reporting and documentation for partner and project requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mayur Vihar- Delhi.
Brief about the Position / Responsibilities
The Solar Trainer is responsible for delivering hands-on training on solar panel
installation and maintenance to students. The trainer will ensure students are
workplace-ready with both technical and soft skills by aligning the training with
industry standards and employability goals.
2) Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Train students on site assessment, installation prerequisites, and material
arrangement.
Demonstrate mounting, wiring, and installation of solar panels.
Ensure post-installation system effectiveness.
Develop workplace competencies in students.
Motivate students for job placement.
Conduct internal assessments and soft skills training.
Prepare and submit MIS reports regularly.
Maintain class discipline, attendance, and referrals for new batches.
3) Reporting and Team
Reports To: Head of Department / Project Manager
Team Structure: Will work closely with training coordinators, placement
officers, and administrative staff.
4) Work Location & Language Spoken
Location: Mayur Vihar, Delhi
Languages Required: Regional Language(preferred) and English
5) Skill Set
In-depth knowledge of solar energy systems and installation processes.
Basic electrical wiring.
Proficiency in training delivery methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong classroom management and motivational ability.
6) Grade & Salary
Grade: As per company policy
Salary: Competitive; based on experience and qualifications (typically aligned
with industry standards for technical trainers)
7) Qualification & Experience
Qualification: Diploma / ITI / bachelor degree in electrical, Electronics, or
Renewable Energy fields
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of relevant industry or training experience
