Role Description The Sr. Windchill Developer will design, develop, and maintain Windchill PLM solutions to support complex product development and lifecycle management processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring Windchill modules, creating and customizing workflows, integrating Windchill with other enterprise systems, and optimizing performance and usability. The role involves collaborating with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs, and implement scalable solutions following best practices. The developer will also troubleshoot issues, perform system upgrades, support deployments, and prepare technical documentation and user guidance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Windchill PLM development, configuration, and customization, including workflows, lifecycles, and object models.
- Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and related frameworks for extending and integrating Windchill functionality.
- Knowledge of web technologies (such as JSP, XML, Web Services, REST/SOAP) used in Windchill interfaces and integrations.
- Experience with database technologies (such as Oracle or SQL Server), including querying, performance tuning, and schema understanding.
- Background in integrating PLM systems with ERP or other enterprise applications, using middleware or integration tools.
- Ability to analyze business requirements, create technical specifications, and deliver maintainable, secure solutions.
- Proficiency in version control, build, and deployment tools commonly used in enterprise software environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced certifications in Windchill or PLM are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead Windchill developer role, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or product development domains.
