Role: Sr QA Automation Engineer
Location: Chennai, TN
π§ππ½π²: Hybrid
ππΌπ― π§ππ½π²: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
- Develop automated test scripts using Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Cucumber (BDD).
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, end-to-end, and API testing.
- Validate applications across Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, and Apple TV platforms.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform root cause analysis, defect reporting, and validation of fixes.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Drive automation best practices and framework improvements.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior QA engineers.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release activities.
Required Skills
- 5-7 years of QA Automation experience.
- Strong expertise in Playwright.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Good experience with Cucumber and BDD frameworks.
- Experience in API automation testing.
- Knowledge of Git and source control practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing CTV/OTT or Streaming applications.
- Exposure to Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, or Apple TV.
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Knowledge of performance and cross-platform testing.
