Job Description for Shift supervisor- Technical (Supervisor/Jr. officer)
- Supervise daily printing operations for coextruded plastic tubes.
- Operate and monitor screen printing and hot foil stamping processes.
- Ensure accurate color matching, registration, print alignment, and finish quality.
- Coordinate with production planning to achieve daily production targets.
- Monitor machine performance and reduce downtime/rejections.
- Handle job changeovers, screen setup, artwork alignment, and tooling adjustments.
- Ensure proper ink preparation, viscosity control, and curing parameters.
- Maintain print quality as per customer specifications and approved standards.
- Troubleshoot printing defects such as smudging, misregistration, poor adhesion, and foil transfer issues.
- Train and guide machine operators and helpers.
- Ensure implementation of GMP, 5S, safety, and quality procedures.
- Maintain production records, rejection reports, and shift documentation.
- Coordinate with maintenance and QA teams for process improvement.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and cleanliness of printing machines and tools.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of:
- Coextruded tube manufacturing process
- Screen printing on plastic tubes
- Hot foil stamping / hot foil printing
- Ink systems, screens, meshes, squeegees, and curing methods
- Color matching and print quality inspection
- Ability to troubleshoot printing and machine-related issues.
- Good leadership and manpower handling skills.
- Understanding of production planning and quality systems.
Experience & qualifications:
- Basic Qualification : Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Mechanical, Plastics, or related field preferred.
- Experience : 4–8 years of experience in tube printing operations.
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or packaging industry is an advantage.
