The impact that you will be making
In this role, you will help retail and CPG customers optimize their merchandising financial plans and assortment processes through scalable SaaS solutions that drive measurable business impact. You will partner with customers and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective, scalable solution designs.
Key Responsibilities
What lands you in this role
- Develop strong breadth and depth across Impact Analytics planning solutions, including PlanSmart, AssortSmart, and ItemSmart, and articulate how each solution supports customer business objectives.
- Independently lead discovery and design workshops with customer business and functional stakeholders to understand current-state processes, pain points, decision flows, and operational constraints.
- Translate customer As-Is processes into clear To-Be workflows within the product, aligning business needs with platform capabilities and best practices.
- Ask the right diagnostic and probing questions to uncover requirements, edge cases, dependencies, and decision criteria needed to shape an optimal solution.
- Evaluate and communicate trade-offs between flow simplicity, user experience, scalability, configurability, and engineering effort while recommending the most practical path forward.
- Partner with product and delivery teams to identify repeatable, high-value use cases and contribute to broadly applicable solution patterns that can benefit multiple customers.
- Build a strong understanding of the forecasting engine, downstream integrations, data flows, and related operational processes to anticipate delivery risks and advise on implementation considerations.
- Support client delivery and product delivery teams by proactively highlighting complications, edge cases, data dependencies, and process impacts that should be addressed during solution planning and rollout.
- Drive SIT (System Integration Tests) and UAT (User Acceptance Tests) with customer users using the train-the-trainer model deployed by Impact Analytics, ensuring users can effectively validate core business flows and gain confidence before go-live.
- Address customer knowledge gaps during training and testing phases, driving outcomes by focusing users on the most relevant use cases and business problems based on the client’s context.
- Influence customer stakeholders and secure buy-in for process changes that improve adoption, simplify workflows, and enable a more effective migration to the platform.
- Meaningfully contribute to assessments of the Planning suite P&L to understand the trade-offs and business implications involved in client-specific customizations, major product upgrades, and differentiated upgrade paths based on customer tiering.
- Contribute to customer presentations, solution recommendations, and internal alignment discussions with clear, structured communication.
- Maintain clear accountability boundaries with Delivery/Implementation and Customer Success teams, particularly at discovery handoff, design review, and UAT sign-off.
Desired Profile
- Experience in solution consulting, implementation consulting, business consulting, pre-sales consulting, or a similar customer-facing SaaS role.
- Prior experience with SaaS implementations or consulting engagements in retail or CPG environments is strongly preferred.
- A good understanding of merchandising, assortment, or adjacent retail planning processes is a must-have.
- Experience in analytics roles or analytics-led projects is a strong plus, especially where data-driven recommendations informed business process changes.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, synthesize business requirements, and convert ambiguous needs into structured solution designs.
- Experience driving SIT, UAT, knowledge transfer, and train-the-trainer enablement in enterprise software implementations is highly valuable.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge constructively, build trust, and influence customer decision-making.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, delivery, and commercial teams in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and business-relevant way.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to understand the business impact of solution choices, especially in relation to customization and product investment decisions.
- Willingness to travel based on customer and project needs.
What Successful Outcomes Would Look Like
- Customers gain clarity on how their planning and assortment processes should operate in the platform.
- Delivery teams receive solution designs that are practical, scalable, and mindful of downstream dependencies.
- UAT, SIT, and training activities improve user readiness, adoption confidence, and implementation quality ahead of go-live.
- Product teams benefit from structured feedback on common customer use cases, customization implications, and enhancement opportunities.
- Customer stakeholders align around process changes needed for successful implementation and long-term value realization.
- Design gaps are caught during discovery and design review rather than surfacing during UAT or after go-live, reducing rework and schedule risk.
- Time from discovery kickoff to signed-off solution design is tracked against methodology phase gates and completed within expected timelines.
What We Offer
- An opportunity to be part of some of the best enterprise SaaS products to be built out of India.
- Opportunities to quench your thirst for problem-solving, experimenting, learning, and implementing innovative solutions.
- A flat, collegial work environment, with a work hard, play hard attitude.
- A platform for rapid growth if you are willing to try new things without fear of failure.
- Remuneration with best-in-class industry standards with generous health insurance cover
