Role Description
The Solar Rooftop Technician role is a contract, on-site position based in Malout. Please note that we are accepting local applicants only for this position. The technician will install, assemble, and maintain rooftop solar power systems, including mounting structures, panels, wiring, and related equipment. Daily tasks include conducting site inspections, verifying system layouts, performing electrical and mechanical connections, and testing system performance. The role involves identifying and troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating with project supervisors, following safety standards and local regulations, and documenting work completed. The technician will also support system commissioning and provide basic guidance to customers on system use and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current residency in or very close to Malout (local applicants only).
- Knowledge of solar rooftop systems and practical experience working with Solar Systems and Solar Power components.
- Awareness of the Solar Industry trends and standards, with an understanding of Power Generation principles.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues through effective Troubleshooting of solar installations and related equipment.
- Basic electrical and mechanical skills, including safe handling of tools, wiring, and rooftop work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, installation manuals, and system layouts.
- Comfort working at heights and outdoors, following strict safety procedures and using protective equipment.
- Prior experience in solar installation, electrical work, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant technical diploma, certification in solar energy or electrical trades, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability in meeting project timelines, and ability to work as part of an on-site team.
