Company Description Energy Source–Design Services (Energysource-Solar) provides specialized engineering services for solar installations, supported by an experienced team with deep industry knowledge. The company delivers complete permit packages, including proposal designs, site plans, structural and attachment drawings, single-line diagrams, and detailed electrical and load calculations. Energysource-Solar focuses on rapid turnaround, from creating a proposal in about 30 minutes to delivering a permit package in approximately four hours. Its services are designed to be cost-effective, offering a lower-cost alternative to maintaining an in-house design team, while ensuring accurate documentation and customized labeling for compliant solar projects.
Role Description The Solar Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Delhi Area. The Solar Engineer will design residential and commercial PV systems, including layout of panels and equipment, roof structure drawings, attachment details, and single-line diagrams. The role involves performing system voltage, current, and wire ampacity calculations, as well as dead load analysis to ensure structural integrity and compliance with local codes and standards. The Solar Engineer will prepare complete permit packages, coordinate with project managers and installation teams, and support proposal design to meet tight turnaround times. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing site survey data, optimizing system performance, and ensuring all documentation and labels meet regulatory and utility requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the solar industry and solar power systems, with practical experience in solar installations.
- Proficiency in solar systems and PV design, including system sizing, layout, and performance optimization.
- Experience in electrical design, including single-line diagrams, voltage and current calculations, and wire ampacity sizing.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant codes and standards (e.g., electrical, structural, safety) for solar projects.
- Experience with solar design software and CAD tools for creating layouts and drawings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work effectively in an on-site environment in the Greater Delhi Area.
