We have real stories from the field. We need someone to make sure we can create and amplify these.
The Role
We're looking for someone to own Responsenet's digital presence end to end: creating the content, publishing it, and actively growing our audience. Doing this well means more people follow our work, engage with it, and support it.
You'll work with programme teams to find stories, photographs and videos, and turn them into content that performs on each platform. You'll also be accountable for numbers: reach, engagement, follower growth and website traffic.
This role covers Responsenet and its social enterprises.
What You'll Do
Content creation
- Create posts, reels, carousels, stories and short videos for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and X
- Turn field visits, programme updates, photos and beneficiary stories into compelling, platform-native content
- Write captions, website content, newsletters, campaign copy and donor-facing communications
- Shoot and edit basic photo and video content, on the field when needed
- Excellent at leveraging AI tools.
Publishing and channel management
- Own and run a monthly content calendar across all platforms
- Publish consistently and maintain a recognisable brand voice and visual identity
- Keep the website updated with programme news, stories and impact content
Growth and reach
- Grow followers, reach and engagement across platforms month on month
- Use trends, formats, hashtags, collaborations and timing strategically to expand organic reach
- Engage actively with our community by replying to comments and DMs and interacting with partners, donors and peer organisations
- Build visibility through partner and influencer tags, cross-posting, and collaborations with CSR partners and allied organisations
- Support paid boosting and digital campaigns, including Google Ads landing pages and campaign content
Analytics and improvement
- Track performance using native platform insights, Google Analytics and similar tools
- Share a simple monthly report covering what worked, what didn't, and what's next
- Use data to refine formats, posting times and content mix
Campaigns and events
- Plan and run digital campaigns for awareness days, fundraising drives, events and programme launches
- Provide live coverage of events and field activities
What Success Looks Like in Your First 3 Months
- A consistent, well-planned content calendar running across all active platforms
- Measurable growth in followers, reach and engagement
- A library of strong field stories, reels and visual content from our programmes
- Regular, useful performance reports that shape our content decisions
- A website that reflects our current work
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing or communications. Freshers with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply.
- Proven ability to create reels and short-form video that people actually watch
- Strong writing and storytelling skills in English. Hindi is a strong plus.
- Hands-on skill with Canva and a mobile or desktop video editor (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Pro or similar)
- Understanding of how platform algorithms, trends and formats drive reach
- Comfort with analytics and making decisions from data
- Basic SEO and website content knowledge (an advantage)
- Willingness to travel occasionally to field locations
- Experience in the development, NGO, CSR or social impact sector (an advantage)
- A degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, English or a related field is preferred, but your portfolio matters more
What We Value
We're looking for someone creative, curious and consistent: a person who can look at an ordinary programme update or field photo and see a story worth telling. You should care about the work behind the content, and you should also care whether people see it.
What We Offer
- The chance to build an organisation's digital presence with real ownership
- Direct exposure to grassroots programmes across India
- A small, collaborative team where your work is visible and valued
- Salary: competitive and negotiable, based on experience and portfolio
How to Apply
- Optional but recommended: include one example of content you created that grew reach or engagement, and tell us briefly what you did and what the results were.
