About Finnect
Finnect is a Canadian marketing agency that works exclusively with financial advisors. We help advisors grow their practice through scripted video content, social media, Meta advertising, CRM and lead-generation systems, run end to end.
Our video ads already run on a proven, scripted process. Static and carousel ads do not. We're hiring someone to build that process from scratch and own it.
The role
You'll own static and carousel ad creative for every Finnect client: the research, the design, the testing and the system behind it. This is half strategist, half designer.
Our strategy team hands you a concept and an angle. You research what's working in the market, design ads that fit the client's brand, ship them into campaigns, and use the results to make the next round better. Over time you'll turn that into a repeatable playbook and oversee all static creative across the agency.
You'll work closely with our copywriters, ad specialist and production manager, and report to the founders.
What you'll do
Research
- Dig through the Meta Ad Library and other ad libraries to find what's working for advisors, wealth firms and adjacent financial brands.
- Build and maintain a swipe file of winning formats, hooks, layouts and visual patterns.
- Track which colours, layouts and formats stop the scroll in a feed, and how to adapt them to each client's brand.
Design and production
- Turn strategy-team concepts into finished static, carousel and image ads that are built to get the click.
- Produce multiple variations per concept (headline, visual, layout, CTA) so we can test properly.
- Respect each client's brand guidelines while still making ads that stand out.
- Size and export correctly for every placement: feed, stories, reels and carousel.
- Prepare creative for dealer compliance review and turn around revisions quickly.
Testing and ownership
- Work with our ad specialist to launch creative tests and read the results (CTR, CPC, cost per lead).
- Report on what's winning and why, and feed those learnings into the next round.
- Build Finnect's static-ad methodology: templates, a creative brief format, naming conventions, a testing framework and a QA checklist.
- Oversee quality and consistency of all static creative across the client roster.
What you need
- 3+ years designing paid social ads, ideally at an agency or for direct-response brands.
- A graphic design portfolio, submitted with your application, that includes static and carousel ads you designed and results you can speak to.
- Strong graphic design fundamentals: typography, hierarchy, colour, layout and brand consistency.
- Hands-on skill in Figma, Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, ad formats, placements and the key metrics (CTR, CPC, CPL).
- Comfort using the Meta Ad Library and other research tools to reverse-engineer what's working.
- Ability to explain why an ad works, not just make it look good.
- Organized enough to build a system, not just a folder of files.
- Fluent written and spoken English, plus at least basic French: enough to read, write and understand client material.
- Able to work at least half of each shift during Eastern Time (EST) business hours, overlapping with our team.
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services, wealth management or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with Meta's special ad category rules for financial products and services.
- Basic motion skills (After Effects, CapCut or Canva animation) for animated statics.
- Copywriting instincts for headlines and on-image text.
- Experience with creative research tools like Foreplay, Atria or Motion.
- Advanced or fluent French, since part of our client base is in Quebec.
Your first 90 days
- Days 1–30: Learn our clients, brands and compliance process. Audit current static ads and build a research swipe file. Ship your first round of creative.
- Days 31–60: Run structured creative tests across several clients. Draft the static-ad playbook: brief template, design templates, naming and testing framework.
- Days 61–90: Own static creative for the full client roster. Deliver a monthly report on winning concepts and show measurable gains in CTR or cost per lead against our baseline.
Details and how to apply
- Contractor Role
- Location: Remote
- Hours: Full-time, with at least half of each shift overlapping Eastern Time (EST) business hours
- Language: Fluent English and basic French (reading and writing) required
- Compensation: ₹65,000–75,000 per month
To apply, send your resume and your graphic design portfolio. Applications without a portfolio won't be considered. Include 3 to 5 static or carousel ads you designed, and for one of them, a few sentences on the research behind it and how it performed.
Shortlisted candidates will complete a short paid test: turning one of our concepts into a set of ad variations.
