Role Description The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities at project sites to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with design specifications and quality standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Ahmedabad and involves coordinating with architects, contractors, vendors, and clients to resolve issues and keep projects progressing smoothly. Key tasks include monitoring construction work, verifying adherence to drawings and materials, managing site documentation, and reporting progress to the studio’s leadership. The Site Supervisor will also implement safety practices, support quality control, and help maintain clear communication between the design office and site teams throughout all project phases.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong site supervision and coordination skills, including managing daily site activities, guiding contractor teams, and ensuring adherence to construction schedules.
- Candidates should possess technical and design understanding, such as reading architectural drawings, interpreting interior design details, and verifying materials and finishes against specifications.
- Candidates should possess project management and organizational skills, including documentation control, progress reporting, basic budgeting awareness, and systematic follow-up on tasks.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with architects, designers, contractors, vendors, and clients, and to resolve site issues professionally.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of safety and quality standards, including awareness of site safety protocols, local building practices, and basic regulatory compliance.
- Diploma or degree in civil engineering, architecture, interior design, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience supervising construction or interior fit-out sites.
- Ability to work independently at site, use basic digital tools (email, spreadsheets, messaging apps), and travel locally between project locations as needed.
