Role Description The Service Engineer – Pharmaceutical Equipment is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The person in this role will install, commission, and maintain pharmaceutical equipment, including isolators, decontamination systems, and analytical instruments, at customer locations. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, executing repairs, and providing on-site technical support and guidance to users. The role involves documenting service activities, preparing reports, coordinating with internal teams for spare parts and escalations, and ensuring that all work complies with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. The Service Engineer will also support product demonstrations, training sessions, and contribute feedback to improve service processes and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment and system issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site installation, commissioning, and customer interaction in technical environments.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication abilities to explain technical information, collaborate with teams, and support customer training.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities to respond to service requests, provide guidance, and escalate complex problems appropriately.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Maintenance & Repair skills for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of pharmaceutical equipment.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or related field) are beneficial.
- Experience with pharmaceutical or life sciences equipment, understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements, and familiarity with aseptic or analytical systems are advantageous.
- Ability to travel as required, manage time effectively, follow safety procedures, and maintain accurate service documentation is expected.
