We’re Hiring: Senior Factory Manager
📍 Location: Vapi
Permeshwar Fashions Impex Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly experienced Senior Factory Manager to take complete ownership of factory operations, improve execution on the floor, and build a strong production team around them.
We are looking for someone who does not simply monitor production from an office. This role requires a hands-on leader who is present on the factory floor, drives people, solves problems immediately, maintains discipline, and ensures production, quality and delivery targets are actually achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of day-to-day factory operations and production execution.
- Lead production teams across cutting, sewing, finishing, packing and related departments.
- Build, strengthen and manage a high-performing factory team.
- Ability to bring or recommend trusted supervisors, line managers, quality personnel or other key team members would be highly valued.
- Drive daily production targets and ensure orders move according to the required T&A and shipment dates.
- Monitor line performance, efficiency, output, WIP and bottlenecks throughout the day.
- Work closely with Merchandising, Quality, Planning, Fabric, Trims, Sampling and Logistics teams.
- Ensure issues are escalated and solved immediately rather than being carried forward.
- Maintain strong discipline, accountability and clear responsibility across the factory floor.
- Ensure rejected garments move through a proper rework, reinspection and closure process before packing.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce defects at source and prevent repeat quality failures.
- Conduct regular floor rounds and daily production reviews with department heads.
- Improve factory systems, manpower allocation, line balancing and productivity.
- Ensure production does not compromise quality in order to meet shipment deadlines.
- Develop supervisors and middle-management teams and create a strong second line of leadership.
- Take responsibility for on-time delivery, productivity, quality and factory discipline.
What We’re Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in apparel / garment manufacturing, with significant experience managing export factories.
- Proven experience as Factory Manager / General Manager – Production / Operations Head or a similar senior factory leadership role.
- Strong experience handling factories supplying international buyers and major European / UK / US retailers.
- Excellent understanding of garment production from cutting through sewing, finishing, quality and packing.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, line balancing, efficiency improvement, WIP control and shipment execution.
- Proven ability to manage large teams of workers, supervisors and managers.
- Someone who is firm, fast-moving and highly execution-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to take immediate action on factory-floor issues.
- Ability to identify weak team members, develop strong performers and rebuild parts of the team where required.
- Comfortable being held accountable for measurable factory KPIs.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Experience working with international retailers who expect the highest quality.
About the Role
This is a factory transformation and leadership role, not a routine production-management position.
We are looking for someone who can enter the factory, understand where execution is breaking down, put the right people and systems in place, and create a culture where problems are identified early and work gets completed properly and on time.
