Role Description The Factory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations for home furnishings - hard goods and related products. The role includes planning and monitoring production schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely order fulfillment in line with quality and safety standards. The Factory Manager supervises factory staff, optimizes workflows, and implements continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Daily tasks also involve collaborating with design, merchandising, production, supplier and sales teams to align production with customer requirements, managing inventory and materials, and ensuring compliance with sustainability and regulatory guidelines. The role requires hands-on leadership on the factory floors, prompt resolution of operational issues, and clear reporting to senior management on performance and key metrics.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to organize schedules, allocate resources, and meet output targets.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to maintain product standards, implement inspection procedures, and address defects promptly.
- Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management and Manufacturing Operations to optimize processes, manage workflows, and ensure smooth end-to-end factory operations.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing industries, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a factory environment.
- Ability to lead diverse teams, enforce safety practices, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in using production and inventory management tools or software.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Production, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
