Role Description This is a full-time Senior Software Engineer role based in New Delhi with a hybrid work model, allowing a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs that power CargoClave’s AI-driven trade management platform. Responsibilities include translating product requirements into technical solutions, implementing robust data models and workflows, and ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, data and AI teams, and other engineers to deliver features end-to-end, perform code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices. The Senior Software Engineer will also mentor peers, contribute to architectural decisions, and continuously improve the platform’s technology stack and development processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems concepts, and software architecture.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, using modern languages and frameworks suitable for large-scale backend systems.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and integration with cloud platforms.
- Advanced skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (e.g., Git) in collaborative engineering environments.
- Background in building high-availability, high-performance systems; familiarity with observability tools, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; experience in logistics, supply chain, or enterprise SaaS is a plus.
