Role Overview
The social media strategist will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s social media strategy, leading the creative team, improving content operations and ensuring that social media contributes to both brand growth and qualified lead generation.
This is a managerial role requiring strong strategic judgement, team leadership, creative oversight and performance accountability. The ideal candidate should be able to operate independently, manage multiple social media partners and build structured systems that improve both the quality and consistency of output.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Social Media Strategy
• Develop and execute the social media strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube and future social media platforms.
• Create platform-specific content plans aligned with brand, marketing and business objectives.
• Define content pillars for founder content, doctor-led education, testimonials, campaigns, events and brand communication.
• Review platform performance and refine strategy based on audience behaviour, content performance and lead quality.
• Maintain an appropriate balance between brand building, education, engagement and commercial objectives.
2. Team Management
• Lead and manage content writers, social media executives, designers, video editors, videographers and external partners.
• Set clear responsibilities, delivery timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct regular reviews and provide structured feedback.
• Improve individual and team performance through coaching, delegation and accountability.
• Identify capability gaps and recommend hiring, training or external support where required.
• Ensure the team operates independently without excessive day-to-day supervision.3. Content and Creative Direction
• Oversee the development of reels, carousels, stories, static creatives, podcasts, interviews and campaign content.
• Guide scripting, visual direction, editing style, messaging and content packaging.
• Ensure all content is aligned with the brand’s premium and clinical positioning.
• Simplify scientific and medical information without compromising accuracy.
• Maintain consistency across all platforms and content formats.
• Review final output before publication and ensure it meets defined standards.
4. Founder and Doctor Content
• Plan and manage content involving founders, doctors, clinical experts and external collaborators.
• Coordinate content planning, briefs, shoot schedules, approvals and post-production.
• Develop formats that strengthen founder visibility and medical credibility.
• Ensure efficient use of shoot days and effective repurposing across platforms.
5. Content Operations
• Build and manage monthly and weekly content calendars.
• Establish structured briefing, approval and delivery workflows.
• Create SOPs, quality checklists and reporting formats.
• Track content status, dependencies, delays and approvals.
• Maintain organised content, footage and asset libraries.
• Introduce AI and productivity tools where they can improve research, scripting, repurposing and workflow efficiency.
• Reduce dependence on individual team members by building repeatable systems.
6. Performance and Business Impact
• Track social media performance beyond reach, followers and engagement.
• Monitor content contribution to enquiries, qualified leads, consultations and campaigns.
• Work closely with performance marketing and sales teams to understand lead quality and conversion trends.
• Identify content that attracts the right audience rather than only higher traffic.
• Recommend improvements based on campaign data, platform analytics and business outcomes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with clear observations and action points.
7. Campaigns and Collaborations
• Plan and execute brand campaigns, doctor collaborations, influencer campaigns, event content and product or service launches.
• Evaluate influencers and collaborators based on audience relevance, brand fit and business potential.
• Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers and production partners.• Ensure campaigns are delivered within agreed timelines and quality standards.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with marketing, sales, medical, partnerships and performance teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely approvals.
• Convert business priorities into clear content briefs and execution plans.
• Flag risks, delays and performance concerns early, along with recommended solutions.
Candidate Profile
• 7–10+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, brand marketing or content leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing creative and social media teams.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Experience in content strategy, campaign planning, creative direction and performance analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with founders, senior leaders or subject-matter experts is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, wellness, luxury, premium consumer or founder-led brands would be an advantage.
• Comfortable using analytics, project management tools and AI-assisted content tools.
