Role Description The Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Sales Manager will oversee day-to-day sales operations, including managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Responsibilities include setting and achieving sales targets, monitoring market trends in the paper industry, and identifying opportunities to expand the customer base. The Sales Manager will collaborate with internal teams for pricing, logistics, and customer support, prepare sales reports and forecasts, and ensure timely follow-up on inquiries and orders. This role also involves mentoring the sales team, supporting their performance, and representing the company at client meetings and industry events as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and account management skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Experience in customer relationship management and business development, preferably within the paper or related manufacturing industries.
- Ability to analyze market data, prepare sales forecasts, and develop strategic sales plans.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven team leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to mentor and motivate sales staff.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency with basic office and CRM software tools for reporting and pipeline management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar senior sales role; experience in the paper industry is highly preferred.
