Our client is a leading travel and tourism organization headquartered in Gurugram. With a multi-decade legacy, an extensive network of offices across India and internationally, and the backing of a large, globally respected enterprise group, the company is among the most awarded players in its industry. It is now building its own in-house tech product — and quality sits at the heart of that effort.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior QA Engineer with 6–8 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. You will own the quality, reliability, and performance of applications through comprehensive testing strategies and automation frameworks, working closely with development and business teams — with the opportunity to lead QA initiatives and mentor junior testers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to understand requirements and define quality standards.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
- Conduct API testing, database testing, and end-to-end application testing.
- Validate application performance, usability, and security requirements.
- Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Support production releases and conduct post-deployment validation.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in both Manual Testing and Test Automation.
- Automation experience with Selenium WebDriver and TestNG/JUnit (Cypress and Playwright preferred).
- Experience in API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of web, mobile, and cloud-based application testing.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Good-to-Have (Preferred) Skills
These are preferred, not mandatory — strong candidates without every item are encouraged to apply.
- Performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of security testing concepts and tools.
- Exposure to AWS.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
- Experience in Travel or SaaS domains.
- Experience leading QA initiatives, mentoring junior testers, and driving quality best practices across projects.
