About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA / Test Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience in testing web, mobile, Mendix-based applications, APIs, and system integrations.
The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Automation Testing Development and should be capable of independently designing, developing, executing, and maintaining scalable automated test solutions.
The role will involve testing enterprise applications built using Mendix low-code platforms, along with their integrations with APIs, databases, external systems, and backend services.
The candidate will work closely with development, Mendix, product, integration, and business teams to ensure application quality, reliability, security, data integrity, and performance across the complete application ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
QA & Test Engineering
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web, mobile, Mendix, and API-based applications.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and automation scripts based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-device, compatibility, usability, and interface testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
- Perform root-cause analysis of defects and collaborate with developers to validate fixes.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, test estimation, release planning, and QA sign-off activities.
- Support UAT, pre-production validation, production verification, and post-release testing.
- Continuously improve automation coverage, QA processes, test strategies, and testing standards.
Mendix Application Testing
- Perform end-to-end testing of Mendix applications and workflows.
- Understand Mendix application architecture, modules, microflows, nanoflows, entities, pages, and business processes from a testing perspective.
- Validate Mendix application functionality against business and technical requirements.
- Test Mendix UI, business logic, validations, workflows, roles, permissions, and user access.
- Validate integrations between Mendix applications and external systems.
- Test data flow between Mendix applications, APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
- Perform regression testing for Mendix application releases and changes.
- Identify issues related to business logic, data mapping, integrations, and application workflows.
- Collaborate with Mendix developers to troubleshoot defects and validate fixes.
Integration & API Testing
- Perform comprehensive integration testing between Mendix applications, APIs, databases, and external systems.
- Test REST APIs and other integration interfaces.
- Validate API request/response payloads, headers, authentication, authorization, status codes, and error handling.
- Validate data mapping and transformation between systems.
- Test synchronous and asynchronous integrations where applicable.
- Perform positive, negative, boundary, and error-handling scenarios for integrations.
- Validate end-to-end business workflows across multiple integrated systems.
- Verify data consistency between source and target systems.
- Use tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, REST clients, or equivalent tools for API and integration testing.
- Troubleshoot integration failures by analyzing API responses, application logs, and database records.
Database & PostgreSQL Testing
- Perform backend and database testing using PostgreSQL.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and test data preparation.
- Validate database records, relationships, constraints, transactions, and data integrity.
- Verify data created or modified through Mendix applications and APIs.
- Perform backend validation for end-to-end business workflows.
- Validate data mapping between application, API, and PostgreSQL database layers.
- Perform basic database troubleshooting and identify data-related defects.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL is required.
Web Application Testing
- Test web applications across multiple browsers, operating systems, screen resolutions, and environments.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, usability, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate frontend-backend interactions and API integrations.
- Perform browser compatibility and responsive testing.
Mobile Application Testing
- Perform comprehensive testing of Android and iOS applications.
- Test native, hybrid, or cross-platform mobile applications.
- Test different Android/iOS versions, devices, screen sizes, and resolutions.
- Validate mobile-specific functionality including:
- Push notifications
- Permissions
- Deep links
- App installation and upgrades
- Offline functionality
- Background services
- Session management
- Device-specific functionality
- Test applications under different network conditions including Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G, and limited connectivity.
Automation Testing & Framework Development
- Strong hands-on experience in Automation Testing Development is mandatory.
- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and integration testing.
- Develop and maintain automated functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.
- Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as:
- Selenium
- Appium
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Strong programming knowledge in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience with:
- Page Object Model
- Data-driven frameworks
- Keyword-driven frameworks
- Hybrid frameworks

- Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
CI/CD & DevOps

- Experience executing automated test suites as part of build and deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of environment-based testing across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
- Experience with Git and source-control workflows.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in Automation Testing Development.
- Strong experience in web and mobile application testing.
- Hands-on experience testing Mendix applications.
- Strong understanding of Integration Testing and end-to-end system integrations.
- Strong experience with API testing and REST services.
- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining automated functional, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test/defect management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently own QA activities and deliverables.
Mendix & Integration Testing Skills
The candidate should have practical experience with:
- Mendix application testing

- Experience testing applications deployed on Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with enterprise integration platforms and third-party system integrations.
- Experience working on enterprise or regulated-domain applications.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is an advantage.
- Mendix certification or prior experience working with Mendix development/testing teams is an advantage.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Senior QA / Automation professional with strong technical expertise across Web, Mobile, Mendix, API, Integration, Automation, and PostgreSQL.
The candidate should be capable of independently:
- Owning QA activities across the complete application lifecycle.
- Designing and developing automation frameworks and test suites.
- Testing Mendix applications and business workflows.
- Performing end-to-end integration and API testing.
- Validating backend data using PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Identifying and troubleshooting complex application and integration defects.
