Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Interior Purchase Manager based in Mumbai. The Interior Purchase Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement of interior materials, fixtures, and services, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability for ongoing projects. Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating vendors, negotiating rates and contracts, raising and tracking purchase orders, and maintaining optimal inventory levels in coordination with project and site teams. The role involves close collaboration with design, execution, and finance teams to align purchases with project specifications, budgets, and timelines, as well as monitoring supplier performance and resolving any material or delivery issues. The Interior Purchase Manager will also support continuous improvement of procurement processes, documentation, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and vendor management skills, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract handling for interior materials and services.
- Experience in inventory and material management, with the ability to track material usage, control costs, and prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Knowledge of interior contracting materials, finishes, fixtures, and services (e.g., carpentry items, gypsum materials, electrical and plumbing fittings, HVAC components).
- Solid project coordination and planning skills to align purchasing activities with project schedules, site requirements, and budget constraints.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement or ERP software, with strong documentation and reporting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and clients in a professional manner.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Relevant experience in interior contracting, construction, or related industries; prior experience in a purchase or sourcing role is highly preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Civil/Interior Engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
