Infinixq India BPM Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced U.S. Mortgage professional to join our team as a Senior Mortgage Closer / Closing SME Lead.
This role requires deep technical expertise and hands-on experience across the Closing and Funding lifecycle, with a strong focus on managing complex loan files, resolving issues, supporting the team, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex mortgage files from Clear to Close through Funding, ensuring all closing conditions, fees, documents, and funding requirements are accurate and complete
- Analyze and resolve closing and funding issues, including Mavent/compliance findings, document discrepancies, and balancing issues
- Review and resolve Mavent fails to ensure compliant loans are closed
- Ensure Closing Disclosures (CDs) are balanced accurately and on time
- Help eliminate cures by ensuring regulatory requirements are met
- Maintain and support Closing & Funding SOPs, procedures, and quality controls
- Monitor and manage SLAs, identify root causes of missed targets, and support corrective action and improvement plans
- Support the creation of job aids, decision guides, checklists, and training materials
- Provide guidance on state-specific closing requirements, investor guideline updates, and common defect resolution
- Partner with Underwriting, Processing, Disclosures, Post Closing, Title, Secondary, and management to resolve cross-functional issues
- Support operational initiatives and continuous process improvement
- Work across both Retail and Wholesale mortgage channels
Experience & Technical Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive U.S. Mortgage Operations experience, with significant hands-on Closing and Funding experience
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on Encompass experience, including loan data, milestones, workflows, and documents
- Strong knowledge of the complete mortgage closing lifecycle, including CTC, disclosures, CD requirements, fee calculations, tolerances, document preparation, balancing, signing, and funding
- Recent hands-on Closing/Funding experience within the last 12–24 months
- Experience personally handling complex loan files
- Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM requirements
- Experience closing and funding Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Bond, Jumbo, Construction, and Non-QM loans
- Strong technical knowledge of title, vesting, insurance, escrow/impounds, payoffs, prorations, seller concessions, security instruments, and recording requirements
- Experience working with U.S. leadership and stakeholders
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills
- Comfortable working U.S. shift hours
- Candidates should be comfortable completing a practical Closing/Funding scenario assessment
