Role Overview
Indegene is looking for a Senior Manager – Strategic Marketing to join its Growth Marketing team. The role will work closely with the Growth Marketing Director to translate the function’s priorities into structured plans, coordinated programs, and measurable outcomes.
This is a broad marketing role requiring strategic perspective, execution discipline, and a strong understanding of how different marketing capabilities work together. The Senior Manager will help manage the overall growth marketing agenda, coordinate cross-functional delivery, establish effective operating rhythms, and provide the insights required to improve marketing performance.
The ideal candidate can bring clarity to complex initiatives, connect strategy with execution, and keep multiple teams and programs aligned around shared growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Growth marketing strategy and planning
- Support the development and execution of Indegene’s growth marketing strategy.
- Translate strategic priorities into annual and quarterly plans, program roadmaps, investment recommendations, and measurable objectives.
- Evaluate market trends, audience insights, program performance, and emerging opportunities to inform marketing priorities.
- Help define the audiences, markets, journeys, channels, and interventions most relevant to growth objectives.
- Prepare strategic recommendations, planning materials, and decision frameworks for the Growth Marketing Director.
- Maintain a consolidated view of the function’s priorities, commitments, dependencies, and outcomes.
2. Portfolio and program management
- Manage the portfolio of growth marketing initiatives across markets, audiences, channels, and stages of the customer journey.
- Convert strategic priorities into clear program briefs, workstreams, timelines, responsibilities, and success measures.
- Coordinate planning and delivery across marketing teams while preserving clear functional ownership.
- Identify dependencies, resource requirements, execution risks, and opportunities for greater impact.
- Ensure that activities are sequenced effectively and contribute to a coherent growth marketing plan.
- Drive follow-through on decisions, actions, and program commitments.
3. Integrated marketing orchestration
- Connect the work of business and content marketing, account-based marketing, digital, events, brand, communications, analytics, and marketing operations teams.
- Provide teams with the strategic context, audience priorities, timelines, and performance objectives required to execute effectively.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions, program reviews, and optimization discussions.
- Ensure that initiatives across teams and channels complement one another and collectively support the broader growth agenda.
- Resolve planning and execution gaps by clarifying priorities, ownership, interdependencies, and decision points.
- Promote consistency across audience experiences without duplicating the responsibilities of specialist teams.
4. Audience and journey strategy
- Develop an integrated view of priority audiences and their journeys across marketing programs.
- Use behavioral, market, and performance data to identify engagement and conversion opportunities.
- Recommend how channels and marketing interventions should work together across different stages of the journey.
- Identify gaps, overlaps, and friction points across the overall audience experience.
- Partner with relevant teams to improve journey continuity, channel coordination, and conversion pathways.
5. Performance management and optimization
- Define measurement frameworks that connect growth marketing activity with engagement, demand, pipeline, and business outcomes.
- Consolidate data across programs and teams to create a clear view of overall marketing performance.
- Develop dashboards, performance reviews, and executive-ready updates for the Growth Marketing Director.
- Identify performance trends, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Recommend changes to priorities, channel mix, investment, sequencing, and program design based on evidence.
- Establish structured test-and-learn practices and ensure insights are applied across future programs.
- Track budgets and investments, supporting effective allocation of growth marketing resources.
6. Marketing operations and governance
- Establish planning processes, operating cadences, governance mechanisms, and reporting standards for the Growth Marketing function.
- Improve the flow of information and decisions across participating marketing teams.
- Maintain clear documentation of plans, KPIs, timelines, budgets, and program status.
- Support annual planning, quarterly reviews, budget cycles, and leadership updates.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve execution speed, and increase accountability.
- Work with marketing operations to strengthen data quality, reporting, automation, and campaign workflows.
7. Team and stakeholder coordination
- Act as a trusted strategic and operational partner to the Growth Marketing Director.
- Build productive working relationships across the wider marketing organization.
- Bring teams together around shared priorities, outcomes, and timelines.
- Influence delivery through structured thinking, clear communication, and strong follow-through.
- Support effective decision-making by presenting concise analysis, options, and recommendations.
- Coordinate agencies and external partners where required.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
- Approximately 10–14 years of progressive B2B marketing experience.
- Broad experience across strategic marketing, integrated planning, digital marketing, demand generation, campaign management, performance analytics, and marketing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to translate marketing strategy into structured plans and coordinated execution.
- Experience managing a portfolio of complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise marketing, long buying cycles, multi-stakeholder journeys, and growth funnels.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical technology, healthcare technology, consulting, or professional services is preferred.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed environment and coordinating teams without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, analytics, campaign-management, and reporting platforms.
- Strong analytical, financial, program-management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
