🔹 Role Overview
As the Senior Manager – Underwriting (Marine) you will lead the underwriting function for your assigned line of business. You will oversee complex risk portfolios, drive underwriting strategy, and ensure strong business performance while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Review underwriting submissions and ensure accurate risk assessment and pricing
- Manage and grow the assigned portfolio while maintaining profitability and quality
- Collaborate with brokers, clients, and internal teams to negotiate terms and secure business
- Monitor market trends, emerging risks, and regulatory updates to guide strategy
- Enhance underwriting processes, governance, and loss control practices
- Represent the underwriting vertical in senior leadership discussions and strategic initiatives
🔹 What We’re Looking For
- Strong underwriting experience in Marine.
- Deep understanding of product-specific risks, pricing, and market dynamics
- Excellent communication, decision‑making, and strategic thinking skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
