Role Description The Senior Java Backend Developer with Cloud experience is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for scalable web applications. This role includes building and optimizing RESTful APIs, implementing microservices architectures, integrating with cloud platforms, and ensuring system reliability and performance. The developer will collaborate with front-end engineers, QA professionals, and product stakeholders to refine requirements, deliver secure features, and support continuous integration and deployment practices. Day-to-day work involves writing clean, testable code, performing code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Software Development and Programming skills, with a focus on backend systems and clean, maintainable code.
- Hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) for enterprise-grade applications.
- Practical knowledge of Microservices design and implementation, including API design, service communication, and scalability considerations.
- Experience deploying and managing backend services on cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), including use of containers and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools to support reliable production operations.
- Ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in full stack development, cloud-native architectures, or consulting environments is a plus.
