Java Developer – Healthcare Technology
Location: Trivandrum, Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for healthcare applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
- Build and maintain full-stack features, including frontend components using Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Integrate healthcare applications and clinical systems such as HIS, EMR/EHR, RIS, PACS, and VNA.
- Implement and support healthcare interoperability standards including DICOM, HL7, and FHIR across integrated systems.
- Design and build scalable, enterprise-grade applications using cloud-native architectures and best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, clinical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable healthcare integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and interoperability issues across connected healthcare systems.
- Document code, integration workflows, and system architecture for maintainability.
Required Skills
- Healthcare Domain Expertise: Strong experience with DICOM, HL7, FHIR, healthcare interoperability, and system integrations.
- System Integration: Experience integrating healthcare applications such as HIS, EMR/EHR, RIS, PACS, VNA, and related clinical systems.
- Backend: Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Frontend: Working knowledge of Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Cloud & Architecture: Experience with scalable enterprise application development and cloud-native architectures is an advantage.
- Experience: 7+ years of development experience. Prior experience working on healthcare software, medical devices, diagnostic imaging, or digital health platforms is highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Good to Have
- Cloud-Native Development: Exposure to scalable enterprise application development and cloud-native deployment strategies.
- Medical Imaging: Familiarity with DICOM imaging and PACS ecosystems, including 2D/3D image visualization and processing concepts.
- Image Processing Libraries: Exposure to frameworks such as ITK, VTK, or OpenCV is a plus.
- Leadership: Experience engaging with customers or leading technical workstreams within healthcare product teams.
