Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead the planning, design, and execution of residential and showroom interior projects, ensuring alignment with MTC Furniture’s brand aesthetic and quality standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Hyderabad and involves collaborating with clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts, preparing detailed layouts, and selecting furniture, finishes, and accessories. The role includes creating and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and overseeing site execution to ensure designs are implemented accurately. The Senior Interior Designer will also guide junior designers, maintain project timelines and budgets, and contribute to showroom merchandising and visual presentation. Regular client presentations, design revisions, and quality checks are integral to the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design skills, including concept development, FF&E selection, and material/finish coordination.
- Proficiency in Space Planning and Architecture fundamentals to design functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts.
- Ability to prepare, read, and review detailed Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in residential or furniture-focused projects.
- Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D rendering tools).
- Strong client communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Attention to detail, project management capabilities, and ability to lead and mentor design team members.
- Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in Hyderabad is an advantage.
