Job Title - Senior HVAC Project Engineer
Job Location: Baner, Pune.
Employment Type: Full-Time,On-site
Experience Required: 8 to 12 Years
Salary Range: 6–12 LPA (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior HVAC Project Engineer to lead and manage HVAC projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, cost control, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Execute HVAC projects in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Plan and monitor daily site activities to achieve project milestones.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Technical Responsibilities
- Review HVAC design drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of HVAC systems.
- Resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
- Ensure work is carried out as per applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams for revisions and technical clarifications.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks during project execution.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and project handover activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to all statutory safety regulations and company HSE policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe work practices at site.
- Report and investigate safety incidents, if any, and implement corrective actions.
Commercial & Documentation
- Monitor project costs and resource utilization.
- Verify contractor and vendor bills.
- Prepare measurement sheets, billing documents, variation orders, and material reconciliation reports.
- Maintain proper project documentation including DPRs, MOMs, RFIs, inspection reports, and handover documents.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
Client Management
- Maintain professional communication with clients and consultants.
- Attend project review meetings and present project updates.
- Ensure timely resolution of client concerns and project-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in HVAC systems or project management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 6–10+ years of experience in HVAC project execution.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, data center, clean room, or institutional projects is preferred.
- Proven experience in handling multiple HVAC projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including:
- Chilled Water Systems
- VRF/VRV Systems
- DX Systems
- AHUs, FCUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers
- Ventilation & Exhaust Systems
- Ducting & Piping Works
- Fire Dampers & Smoke Management Systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of IS Codes, ASHRAE standards, and relevant HVAC regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project planning tools. Knowledge of Revit MEP or Primavera/MS Project is an advantage.
