Role Description The Senior Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function and support organizational growth through strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee development. This full-time, on-site role based in Ranchi includes overseeing HR policies and procedures, managing performance management systems, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements. The person in this role will handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with senior leadership on organizational design, managing compensation and benefits frameworks, and implementing HR best practices tailored to construction and project-based environments. The Senior Human Resources Manager will also guide HR operations such as onboarding, documentation, HRMIS data integrity, and support for health, safety, and training programs.
1. Recruitment & Manpower Management
- Manage daily recruitment activities as per organizational manpower requirements.
- Coordinate with respective departments and project sites for manpower requirements.
- Prepare and maintain manpower requisitions and recruitment plans.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate the selection of suitable candidates.
- Ensure timely mobilization and joining of selected employees.
- Maintain recruitment status, vacancy trackers, and manpower reports.
2. Attendance & Payroll Management
- Conduct monthly attendance review for all employees and site staff.
- Verify attendance, leave, absenteeism, overtime, and other payroll inputs.
- Prepare and finalize the monthly attendance sheet for payroll processing.
- Coordinate with Accounts/Finance for timely and accurate salary processing.
- Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of payroll-related data.
3. Employee Onboarding
- Manage complete employee onboarding and joining formalities.
- Ensure collection and verification of required employee documents.
- Coordinate induction, joining documentation, HR policies, and deployment.
- Ensure employee records are properly maintained and updated.
4. HR Administration & Generalist Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day HR and administrative matters across Head Office and project sites.
- Implement HR policies, procedures, and company systems.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
- Address employee queries and coordinate resolution of HR-related issues.
- Monitor discipline, attendance, leave, and general employee welfare.
- Act as an HR Generalist and provide support across all major HR functions.
5. Statutory Compliance – PF & ESIC
- Ensure timely and accurate PF and ESIC compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants/accounts teams for statutory filings and payments.
- Maintain employee PF/ESIC records and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Monitor changes in applicable HR and labour regulations.
6. Management Coordination & Meetings
- Participate in management meetings and provide HR-related updates.
- Prepare HR reports, manpower updates, recruitment status, attendance and other MIS as required.
- Coordinate with senior management on HR and administrative matters.
- Communicate and implement management decisions related to employees and HR operations.
7. Management Decisions & Implementation
- Support management in taking decisions related to manpower, recruitment, employee matters, and administration.
- Ensure timely implementation of approved management decisions.
- Coordinate with departments and project sites for effective execution of HR directives.
- Escalate critical employee and administrative matters to management.
8. Payment Approval & HR-Related Expenses
- Review and process HR/administrative payment requests as per company authorization.
- Verify supporting documents, bills, approvals, and requirements before payment processing.
- Coordinate with Accounts/Finance for timely processing of approved payments.
- Ensure payments are made as per company policies and delegated authority.
9. Vendor Management
- Manage HR and administration-related vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate with vendors for manpower, recruitment, accommodation, housekeeping, transport, and other HR/admin requirements as applicable.
- Verify vendor bills, services, and supporting documents.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain proper vendor records and documentation.
10. HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare regular HR reports and management MIS.
- Maintain recruitment, manpower, attendance, payroll, employee movement, and compliance records.
- Provide accurate HR data and reports to management as required.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly HR reports and closing activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely closure of manpower requirements.
- Recruitment and joining as per approved manpower plan.
- Accuracy and timely finalization of monthly attendance.
- Timely and accurate payroll inputs.
- 100% timely PF/ESIC compliance.

Education: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources.
Experience: 8–10 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, EPC, or project-based organizations would be an added advantage.
