The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Python Developer with hands-on experience in web application development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python frameworks, database management, and modern web technologies.
Deliverables
The position will perform the following tasks:
- Strong knowledge of Django or Flask framework.
- Experience working with MongoDB and relational databases.
- Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of OOPs, MVC Architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- Ensure high-quality, reusable, and efficient code.
- Maintain consistency and standards across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript components.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and development best practices.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, or Node.js is preferred.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services is a plus
- Proficiency in at least one RDBMS:
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies including:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
- jQuery
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, or Node.js is preferred.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) is an added advantage.
- Travel as required.
- Any other task assigns by your supervisor.
Qualification
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
Desirable
- Certifications in Python, Cloud Technologies, Data Science, or related technologies.
Experience
Essential:
- Around 02-04 Years of relevant experience in Python-based application development.
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with Django and Flask frameworks.
- Experience working with MongoDB and relational databases.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Knowledge of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Architecture.
- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and SVN.
- Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with jQuery.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including:
- React
- Angular
- Vue.js
- Node.js
- Exposure to AWS Cloud Services.
- Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.es.
- Experience working in enterprise application development environments.
