Portico Designs is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator & Costing professional with 5–6 years of relevant experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, or Turnkey Projects.
We are specifically looking for a Pune-based candidate with a strong understanding of Pune market rates, local vendors, materials, labour costs, and interior project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Understand client requirements, participate in client meetings, conduct site visits, and verify site measurements, quantities, and conditions.
Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Project Managers, and Site Teams to ensure estimates are prepared from the latest approved drawings.
Prepare detailed BOQs and quantity take-offs from Architectural, Interior, Civil, and MEP drawings.
Prepare estimates, budgets, rate analysis, quotations, commercial proposals, and tender submissions based on current market rates.
Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations, prepare comparative statements, support negotiations, and coordinate with the Purchase Department.
Revise BOQs and estimates based on design changes while maintaining proper documentation and version control.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering while maintaining project specifications and quality standards.
Provide commercial support during execution, including variation orders, additional/extra-item costing, revised BOQs, and project cost monitoring.
Present BOQs, budgets, quotations, and commercial proposals to clients and incorporate feedback into revised submissions.
Maintain updated material, labour, vendor, and rate databases, with a strong focus on current Pune market rates.
Maintain accurate records of BOQs, estimates, quotations, rate analyses, approvals, and other commercial documentation.
Support final commercial reconciliation, cost review, and project closure.
What We’re Looking For
Qualification: BE. Civil (From Interior Designing Background )
5–6 years of relevant experience in Estimation & Costing, preferably within Architecture, Interior Design or Turnkey Projects.
Pune-based candidates preferred, with good knowledge of the Pune market and prevailing material, labour, and vendor rates.
Strong expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, rate analysis, and tendering.
Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Interior, Civil, and MEP drawings.
Strong vendor coordination, negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation/costing documentation.
Ability to independently manage the complete commercial process from client requirement and site verification through BOQ, estimation, tendering, execution support, variations, and final reconciliation.
