Role Description
The Project Coordinator & Quantity Surveyor plans and tracks project schedules, coordinates clients, consultants, vendors and site teams, and runs client reviews through to closure. The role also handles quantification, comparison statements, and tender preparation, along with interior detailing, progress and cost reporting, and drawing and QC documentation for Ramcons' high-end residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordination & Client Reviews: Liase between clients, consultants, internal teams and vendors for timely action; set up client reviews, record minutes and follow up to closure.
• Planning & Scheduling: Prepare and update project schedules and plans; set drawing, approval and order dates from the schedule, track site progress against it, and flag delays early. Coordinate samples & mock ups as required.
• Order Processing: Quantify from drawings, prepare comparison statements, follow up until orders are placed.
• Tender Works: Analyze drawings & prepare pre construction area statements, quantities, rate analysis and BOQs for tenders.
• Interior Detailing: Prepare joinery schedules and study interior detail drawings, including tile, electrical and plumbing layouts in AutoCAD and prepare quantities and BOQ
• Reporting: Prepare daily progress and monthly cost reports, and maintain RFI and change order records.
• Drawing & QC Documentation: Maintain and issue updated drawings to site; follow up and file QC documentation. Periodic site visits to ensure design adherence & doubt clarifications
• Pre Construction Works – Consultant Onboarding, Approval coordination and preparing preconstruction BOQ.
Requirements
• 5 + years in quantity surveying / project coordination in high end residential or commercial building projects; interior fit-out experience added advantage. We will not consider resumes who have worked only in Infra Projects.
• Excellent Communication Skills. Fluent In English & Tamil.
• Accurate take-offs from drawings; experience with comparison statements, rate analysis,
BOQs and bill checking.
• Organised, with strong documentation and follow-up.
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD; SketchUp an advantage.
• B.E./Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
