Role Description
The Engineer / Senior Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune / Bengaluru / Gurugram. The role involves designing, programming, and commissioning robotic automation systems for various industrial applications, ensuring solutions meet customer specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day activities include robot path and logic development, PLC and controls integration, testing and validation of automation cells, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software issues on the shop floor. The Engineer / Senior Engineer collaborates closely with project managers, design teams, and customers to review requirements, prepare technical documentation, and support FAT/SAT and handover. The role may also include participation in virtual commissionins and offline programming, training customer personnel, and providing on-site support during production ramp-up.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and robotics projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, robotic cell integration, motion control, and industrial safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and HMIs, including Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and Pro-face.
- Experience integrating industrial robots such as Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Panasonic, and Yaskawa with PLCs, sensors, VFDs, servo drives, and peripheral equipment.
- Strong hands-on experience in shop-floor commissioning and site execution, with hands-on experience in offline PLC logic development. Exposure to virtual commissioning and IT-OT integration is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in industrial communication protocols including EtherNet/IP, CC-Link IE, Profinet, DeviceNet, CC-Link, and Profibus; InterBus experience is an added advantage.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and perform basic electrical design and drafting using AutoCAD or EPLAN, with strong shop-floor troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on customer sites and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel and work in dynamic project environments.
