Role Description The Senior Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. This role involves leading the design & development of packaging foam fabricated prototypes as per the customers requirements. After the approval of the designed prototypes facilitate execution and mass manufacturing of the foam armor.
Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing detailed engineering drawings, performing design calculations, selecting materials, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The Senior Design Engineer will collaborate closely with production, quality, and procurement teams to optimize manufacturability, support process improvements, and resolve technical issues on the shop floor. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, maintaining design documentation, working with CAD tools, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in line with the company’s ISO 9001:2015 framework.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to product and process development.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and Product Design practices, including 2D/3D modeling, drafting, and design validation.
- Strong understanding of design software and tools such as AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS etc.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in industrial product or packaging materials design, preferably in manufacturing or converting industries.
- Ability to analyze technical problems, propose practical solutions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
