Electrical Draughtsman – MEP (5–8 Years)

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Electrical Draughtsman with strong experience in MEP projects (commercial, residential, hospitals, malls, etc.). The role involves preparing accurate electrical drawings, coordinating with other MEP services, and supporting engineers in delivering clash-free, compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify detailed MEP electrical drawings, including:
- Lighting layouts (internal & external)
- Power layouts (raw power, UPS, emergency power)
- Cable tray / conduit routing layouts
- Earthing & lightning protection systems
- Fire alarm & ELV system layouts (CCTV, access control, data/voice)
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and schematic diagrams
- Develop shop drawings and coordinated drawings based on design inputs
- Work closely with electrical engineers to interpret design intent into drawings
- Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to ensure clash-free services
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve clashes (if working in BIM environment)
- Prepare as-built drawings based on site changes
- Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and drawing logs
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, IS codes, IEC standards, NBC (India)
- Support site execution teams with drawing clarifications
Required Skills & Software
- Strong proficiency in:
- AutoCAD (2D – mandatory)
- Revit MEP / BIM tools (highly preferred)
- Working knowledge of:
- Electrical load layouts and panel schedules
- ELV systems and coordination
- Cable routing and containment systems
- Familiarity with Navisworks (for clash detection) is an advantage
- Good understanding of MEP coordination principles
Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
- CAD / BIM certification preferred
Soft Skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong coordination and teamwork skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced project environments
- Good communication with engineers and site teams
