The Ethnic Co is a premium men's ethnic wear brand built for the modern Indian man. From ready-to-wear collections to fully customised couture, every garment is designed and manufactured in our own Bengaluru factory.
We specialise in creating exceptional wedding and occasion wear through personalised consultations, superior craftsmanship, and custom-fit tailoring.
As we continue to expand our retail presence, we're looking for a Senior Style & Design Consultant who combines a passion for fashion with exceptional customer relationship skills.
This is not a back-office fashion design role.
You'll be the face of our brand—helping customers design their dream wedding outfits, driving sales, managing the store, and ensuring every customer walks away with an unforgettable experience.
What You'll Own
Customer Consultation & Styling
Deliver an exceptional one-on-one shopping experience for every customer.
- Understand the customer's occasion, personality, preferences, and budget.
- Recommend complete looks across sherwanis, bandhgalas, kurtas, Indo-westerns, tuxedos, and accessories.
- Build confidence through expert styling advice and personalised recommendations.
- Help customers coordinate colours, fabrics, embroidery, footwear, stoles, safas, and accessories.
Bespoke Design Consultation
Guide customers through designing garments that are uniquely theirs.
- Recommend customisations in fabrics, embroidery, collars, cuffs, buttons, linings, silhouettes, and finishes.
- Suggest design enhancements based on body type and personal style.
- Clearly communicate customer requirements to our tailoring and production teams.
- Ensure every garment delivered matches the approved design.
Sales & Store Performance
Own the commercial success of the Experience Centre.
- Achieve monthly sales targets.
- Maximise walk-in conversions.
- Increase average order value through thoughtful styling and cross-selling.
- Promote accessories and complementary products.
- Deliver a premium luxury shopping experience.
Customer Relationship Management
Our business is built on relationships, not transactions.
You'll take ownership of:
- Lead follow-ups
- Customer enquiries
- Trial appointments
- Delivery coordination
- Repeat customers
- Referrals
- Post-purchase relationship building
Store Ownership
Ensure the Experience Centre operates flawlessly every day.
- Maintain premium visual merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with the operations team.
- Ensure store presentation and customer experience remain world-class.
- Support inventory accuracy and order documentation.
- Handle day-to-day store operations with complete ownership.
Production Coordination
Work closely with our in-house production team to ensure every customer receives exactly what was promised.
- Coordinate measurements and alterations.
- Monitor production timelines.
- Support trial sessions and fittings.
- Resolve quality or fit issues proactively.
- Ensure timely deliveries.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 2–4 years of experience in premium fashion retail, luxury retail, bespoke tailoring, boutique fashion, or men's ethnic wear.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong sales orientation with the ability to confidently achieve revenue targets.
- Excellent styling sense and understanding of men's fashion.
- Ability to recommend garment customisations confidently.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong ownership mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Background in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Apparel Merchandising, or Styling.
- Experience in bespoke or made-to-measure garments.
- Knowledge of fabrics, embroidery techniques, garment construction, and finishing.
Preferred
- Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for order management.
- English and Hindi proficiency. Kannada is an added advantage.

Work Schedule
- Working Hours: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Work Week: 6 Days
- Saturday & Sunday: Mandatory working days
- Weekly Off: 1 rotational weekday
- Extended hours during wedding seasons and festive periods.
