We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the moments where shoppers make up their minds: the Product Details Page (PDP) and Product Listing Page (PLP), across app and desktop. These pages are core to how people search, compare, and decide what goes in their cart, and you'll shape that experience end to end. You'll partner closely with Shopper Experience Product Managers and engineering to turn browsing into confident buying, while helping weave personalization into the broader shopping journey.
What you’ll do:
- Own end-to-end design for Product Details Pages (PDP) and Product Listing Pages (PLP) across our app and desktop — from early concept through detailed, production-ready execution.
- Partner with Shopper Experience Product Managers and engineering to shape product strategy, define requirements, and prioritize the roadmap for search and discovery.
- Apply merchandising, search, and discovery best practices to design conversion-oriented experiences that help shoppers find and choose products with confidence.
- Bring an experimentation mindset — frame hypotheses, collaborate on A/B tests, and use data and research to iterate toward measurably better outcomes.
- Contribute to personalization as a horizontal thread across the end-to-end shopping funnel, ensuring PDP/PLP designs adapt intelligently to shopper context.
- Think in systems: design consistent, scalable patterns that hold up across 22 banners, contributing new components back to our design systems.
- Map complex and sometimes conflicting use cases — promotions, inventory states, banner variations — into clear, buildable designs for development.
- Mentor other designers and provide thoughtful critique, raising craft and consistency across the Product Evaluation focus area.
- Present concepts and design rationale to product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders, building clarity and buy-in through strong storytelling.
What you’ll bring:
- 6–9 years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped e-commerce, retail, or high-traffic consumer app work; search, discovery, or merchandising experience is a plus.
- Expert craft in Figma, with a sharp eye for visual and interaction detail — typography, spacing, micro-interactions — at a polished, production-ready level.
- Proven systems thinking: comfort designing within, and extending, a shared design system across multiple platforms and touchpoints at scale.
- A track record of framing ambiguous, multi-stakeholder problems and guiding teams toward impactful, buildable solutions.
- Experience partnering with research and data teams (or running your own lightweight tests) to validate decisions and demonstrate business impact.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills — equally comfortable evangelizing a point of view to executive leadership and collaborating in the details with engineers.
- Comfort mentoring and critiquing other designers; you naturally raise the bar for the team around you.
- Working fluency with enterprise AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) as part of a modern, AI-augmented design workflow.
- A collaborative, low-ego approach — able to work independently while driving alignment across squads, product, and engineering.
What success looks like:
- Shoppers move through PDP and PLP with more clarity, speed, and confidence — reflected in stronger conversion and engagement metrics.
- Your design patterns scale consistently across all 22 banners without losing local nuance.
- Personalization efforts on PDP/PLP show measurable lift in relevance and shopper engagement.
- Product and engineering partners see you as a strategic design thought partner, not just an execution resource.
- Designers you've mentored point to your influence as a reason their craft and confidence grew.
