Role Description The Senior Data Quality Assurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. This role is responsible for designing and executing data quality test plans, validating data pipelines, and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across data sources and reporting systems. The specialist will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define data quality rules, identify defects, and implement remediation processes. Daily activities include developing automated data validation scripts, performing root cause analysis on data issues, monitoring data quality metrics, and contributing to improvements in data governance and documentation. The role also involves mentoring junior QA team members, participating in code and test reviews, and supporting continuous improvement of data quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong data quality and testing skills, including experience with data validation, test case design, and defect tracking.
- Candidates should possess skills in working with databases and data tools, such as SQL, relational databases, and ETL or data pipeline frameworks.
- Candidates should possess skills in analytics and reporting validation, including checking dashboards, reports, and KPIs for accuracy and consistency.
- Candidates should possess skills in automation and scripting for data quality, using languages or tools such as Python, shell scripting, or test automation frameworks.
- Candidates should possess skills in documentation and communication, including clear reporting of issues, test results, and data quality metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in data engineering, BI, analytics, or software quality assurance in a technology or consulting environment is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Experience working in AI, cloud, or modern data platform environments and familiarity with enterprise-scale data governance practices is a plus.
