Company Description eduVelocity Global Counsels (EV) is an international counseling organization that helps students identify and secure their “best fit” higher education opportunities, with a strong focus on universities in the United States and Canada. EV is not an education agency, test-prep center, or immigration firm; instead, it provides independent, student-centered guidance for learners from grade 9 through postgraduate levels. The company’s only paying clients are students and their families, ensuring unbiased, personalized counseling that supports each learner’s education and career aspirations.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi for Counsellor – Profile Building, Senior Counsellor – Profile Building, Senior Counsellor – Life Skills, and Manager – Life Skills (5–6 years experience). The role involves working closely with students and families to understand academic interests, strengths, and long-term goals, and to design individualized plans for academic profile building and holistic development. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, guiding students on co-curricular and extracurricular choices, mentoring them on life skills such as communication, time management, and decision-making, and tracking their progress over time. Team members will collaborate to develop and refine counseling frameworks, maintain accurate student records, and contribute to workshops or small-group sessions on profile building and life skills. The Manager – Life Skills role additionally includes overseeing program delivery, mentoring junior counselors, coordinating with leadership, and ensuring consistent quality and impact across all life skills initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and mentoring skills, with the ability to work empathetically and constructively with adolescents and young adults.
- Experience in academic advising, profile building, or career guidance, preferably related to international higher education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead one-on-one and group sessions and work effectively with parents.
- Demonstrated understanding of life skills development (e.g., study habits, time management, resilience, decision-making, and goal setting).
- Ability to design and implement structured plans and track student progress using documentation and basic data management tools.
- For senior and manager roles: 5–6 years of relevant experience, with proven leadership, team coordination, and program management capabilities.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, Social Sciences, or a related field; formal training in counseling is an advantage.
