The opportunity
A remote telehealth platform is seeking a senior, hands-on strategist to own content, SEO and organic
growth across current and upcoming services. You will set direction, create audience messaging, issue
decision-ready briefs, govern medical-content quality and direct writers, SEO specialists, designers, social
contributors and developers. This is a strategy and ownership role - not a production-writer or agency
account-management position.
Primary outcome: qualified organic patient acquisition and attributable organic-search revenue, not traffic
or publishing volume alone.
The role is weighted approximately 60% website/search and AI-search visibility, 25% social/video, and 15%
email, repurposing and channel experiments.
What you will own
1. Complete a full content, search, competitor, channel, workflow and vendor audit; establish the baseline
and prioritised roadmap.
2. Produce the quarterly organic-growth strategy and monthly editorial and channel plans across all services.
3. Research patient segments and create messaging architecture: need, desired belief/action, promise, proof,
objections, compliant claims, tone and CTA.
4. Prepare existing and upcoming services for launch through search architecture, messaging, review paths
and channel-ready plans.
5. Set editorial standards and personally write or substantially edit high-stakes messaging, core service pages
and exemplar briefs.
6. Coordinate doctor and specialist review while owning editorial and SEO decisions and required approvals.
7. Own search intent, on-page optimisation, internal linking, content refreshes and organic-performance
analysis.
8. Translate HTML, schema, canonicals, crawling and indexing needs into Jira requirements for a custom-built
platform and validate delivery.
9. Connect content to qualified acquisition and revenue using GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Google
Ads and Customer.io insight; jointly validate tracking.
10.Create channel-native website, search/AI-visibility, social/video and email plans without copy-paste
repurposing.
11.Brief and direct writers and specialist vendors; own schedules, acceptance criteria, deadlines, quality and
weekly delivery reviews.
12.Use AI for research, optimisation and repurposing while retaining source verification, human judgment and
accountability.
First 30 days
Complete the audit and measurement baseline; deliver messaging architecture, editorial standards and the
service roadmap; then launch the quarterly strategy, monthly plan, vendor cadence and first high-confidence
optimisation experiments.
What you bring
13.A completed bachelor's degree. A medical or allied-health degree is preferred; another bachelor’s degree is
the second preference.
14.Target profile: 7+ years; hard minimum: 7 years months of relevant full-time content, SEO or organic-
growth experience after completing the bachelor's degree. Student, internship and overlapping study
experience does not count.
15.The most recent 3 years must be in-house within a startup or product/service company, with no agency
employment during that period.
16.Substantial medical, healthcare, telehealth or regulated health-content experience. An exception requires
exceptional, independently verifiable in-house results in another high-trust category.
17.Demonstrated ownership of organic strategy, audience messaging, briefs, editorial governance,
optimisation and multi-channel distribution, supported by two credible case studies.
18.Fluent spoken and written English, with the ability to independently edit clear, patient-friendly, publication-
ready content.
19.Platform-agnostic capability: comfortable working with a custom-built product, developers and Jira rather
than depending on WordPress or one tool.
How you operate
20.Strong logic, synthesis, numerical judgment, learning speed and contradiction detection.
21.Ownership, honesty and urgency: surface problems early, care about results and follow through without
blame shifting.
22.Active listening and requirement fidelity: challenge before commitment and never materially change an
agreed direction without re-agreement.
23.High autonomy within agreed outcomes; escalate clinical, compliance, brand, budget or delivery risk.
24.Low ego and self-awareness, with clear leadership of writers, vendors and developers.
Working model
Full-time remote, 08:30-17:30 IST, Monday-Friday, reporting to the founder. Exclusive professional
availability is required during contracted hours, with disclosure of concurrent work or conflicts. The founder
retains vendor hiring and budget authority; you direct day-to-day delivery and quality.
How to apply
25.Submit a CV showing degree and employment dates by month and year.
26.Provide two concise case studies and relevant work links, clearly separating your contribution from the
team's.
27.Confirm availability and current professional commitments. Shortlisted candidates complete a 60-minute
work sample and live defence, followed by two former-manager references and qualification/employment
verification.
