Role Description The Senior Auditor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Senior Auditor will plan and execute audits, including risk assessment, testing of controls, and verification of financial records for a range of clients. Responsibilities include reviewing accounting systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and tax regulations, identifying control weaknesses, and recommending practical improvements. The role involves supervising junior staff, guiding them through audit procedures, reviewing their work for accuracy, and contributing to training and knowledge sharing. The Senior Auditor will also prepare clear audit reports, communicate findings to clients, collaborate with tax and accounting teams, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk assessment, and internal control evaluation, with the ability to lead end-to-end audit engagements.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and general ledger review for diverse business environments.
- Experience in direct and indirect taxation, including familiarity with international taxation concepts and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to use audit and accounting software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools to perform audit tests and document findings efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to draft clear reports and discuss audit issues with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring junior team members, managing timelines, and coordinating work within audit teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, professional integrity, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent professional certification; prior experience in an audit firm or similar environment is highly beneficial.
