Role Description The Senior Architect (B.Arch) role at SMARTANK is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Senior Architect will lead architectural design projects from concept through execution, including planning, detailed drawings, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. Daily responsibilities include developing design proposals, reviewing construction documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and overseeing quality of design deliverables. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and consultants, monitoring project timelines and budgets, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. The Senior Architect will contribute to strategic design decisions that support client objectives and SMARTANK’s commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with proven experience delivering high-quality design solutions.
- Ability to manage projects effectively using Project Management practices, including planning, coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Exposure to Software Development and Integration concepts as they relate to design tools, BIM platforms, or technology-enabled architectural workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from an accredited institution; advanced qualifications or professional certifications are an advantage.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar), and familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in multidisciplinary teams, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in leading and mentoring design teams, managing client expectations, and delivering projects within time and budget constraints.
- Prior experience in consulting, corporate, or large-scale commercial projects in Mumbai or similar urban environments is beneficial.
