Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jamshedpur for sand blasting and painting work. The role involves preparing surfaces for sand blasting, operating sand blasting equipment safely, and cleaning work areas and tools before and after tasks. The position includes mixing and applying paints and coatings, following technical specifications and safety guidelines. The individual will inspect surfaces for quality, perform basic maintenance on equipment, and coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet daily work targets. Adherence to safety protocols, use of personal protective equipment, and proper handling of materials are essential aspects of the day-to-day work.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform sand blasting operations, including surface preparation and safe handling of blasting equipment.
- Skills in industrial painting, including mixing paints, applying coatings, and ensuring even, durable finishes.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operating, monitoring, and performing routine checks on tools and machinery.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices, use of PPE, and safe handling of chemicals and materials.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varied environmental conditions.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions, work orders, and quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in sand blasting, industrial painting, or related work is preferred; vocational or technical training in industrial trades is an advantage.
