Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Seed Investor role based in Hyderabad. The Seed Investor will collaborate closely with the founding team to evaluate business models, review financial projections, and assess market opportunities for OMA Chit’s products and services. Responsibilities include conducting due diligence on operational plans, advising on capital allocation, and participating in strategic discussions related to growth, risk management, and governance. The role involves monitoring key performance indicators, providing feedback on customer acquisition strategies, and supporting the development of scalable processes. The Seed Investor is expected to contribute both capital and strategic insight, helping to build a sustainable and compliant financial services enterprise.
Qualifications
- Background in finance, investment, or entrepreneurship, with experience evaluating early-stage businesses or financial services ventures.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements, build or review financial models, and assess risk-return profiles.
- Understanding of Indian financial regulations, particularly those relevant to chit funds, NBFCs, or similar regulated entities, is highly beneficial.
- Experience participating in or leading strategic planning, governance, and performance monitoring for startups or small enterprises.
- Capacity to commit seed capital and provide ongoing strategic support to the founding team in an on-site, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage constructively with founders, advisors, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in investment or venture-building will also be considered.
