Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Officer role based in Kolkata. The Security Officer will monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to ensure a safe environment for guests, employees, and property across Global Kitchens’ outlets. Responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, managing crowd control during peak hours, and responding promptly and appropriately to security incidents or emergencies. The role involves operating security systems such as CCTV and access controls, maintaining detailed incident and activity reports, and collaborating with outlet managers and staff to enforce safety and security protocols. The Security Officer will also assist in implementing emergency procedures, support loss prevention efforts, and provide a calm, professional presence that aligns with the company’s guest-friendly service standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in security operations, preferably in hospitality, retail, or mall environments, with the ability to monitor premises and manage crowd control.
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures, emergency response, and incident reporting, including coordination with local authorities when required.
- Ability to operate and monitor security systems such as CCTV, access control, and communication equipment.
- Strong observation skills, situational awareness, and attention to detail to identify and address potential risks proactively.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and management in a professional, respectful manner.
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Physical fitness and stamina sufficient for standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
- Prior experience as a Security Officer, Guard, or in a similar role; relevant security or safety certifications are an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy for maintaining logs and reports; familiarity with mall or multi-outlet environments is beneficial.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by outlet
