Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Officer role based in Howrah. The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets by maintaining a visible security presence and monitoring access points. Day-to-day tasks include patrolling assigned areas, checking identification and credentials, supervising entry and exit of visitors, and ensuring adherence to safety and security procedures. The role involves monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, responding to incidents, reporting suspicious activities, and documenting events in logs or incident reports. Security Officers collaborate with site management, follow company protocols, assist during emergencies, and maintain professional conduct in all interactions with clients, visitors, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong observation, situational awareness, and basic risk assessment skills.
- Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
- Candidates should possess the ability to follow security protocols, write clear incident reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Candidates should possess physical fitness and the ability to stand, patrol, and respond quickly to security or safety incidents.
- Candidates should possess basic familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, and common security devices.
- Relevant experience in security or related fields and prior work in corporate, industrial, or public environments is beneficial.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; completion of certified security training or licensing is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to adhere to SIS Group Enterprises’ policies and code of conduct.
