Role Description The Scrum Master at AstraX is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role facilitates Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that teams follow Scrum principles and practices. The Scrum Master removes impediments, supports collaboration across cross-functional team members, and helps maintain a clear and prioritized backlog in partnership with product owners. The role includes coaching team members on Agile values, improving workflow efficiency, tracking and reporting on sprint progress, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Scrum Master also collaborates with stakeholders to align team delivery with community and product goals, while maintaining a supportive and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sprint Planning skills and experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret metrics, identify bottlenecks, and support data-informed decisions.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess experience working with User Stories, including refinement, estimation, and backlog management.
- Candidates should possess foundational understanding of Software Development processes and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Relevant skills such as conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and coaching in Agile practices are beneficial.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM) and experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
