Job Description: School Career Counsellor
Location: Ellenabad, Haryana
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused School Career Counsellor to provide career guidance and counselling support to students. The ideal candidate will help students understand their strengths, explore career opportunities, and make informed decisions regarding their academic and professional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group career counselling sessions for school students.
- Guide students in selecting appropriate career paths based on their interests, abilities, and future aspirations.
- Counsel students and parents regarding higher education options, courses, entrance examinations, and career opportunities.
- Conduct career awareness programs, workshops, and counselling sessions in the school.
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, teachers, and school management.
- Maintain counselling records and track student progress.
- Stay updated on education trends, admission processes, scholarships, and career opportunities.
- Support students in developing effective academic and career plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in school counselling, career counselling, student mentoring, or the education sector is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling and presentation abilities.
- Ability to connect with students and understand their concerns.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and communication.
Experience
- Candidates with relevant experience in career counselling or school environments will be preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and a passion for student development may also be considered.
