Job details:
Compensation: ₹15–25L
Location: India
Working hours: US business hours
Role in one line
Work directly with our US sales team to take small-business customers from “I need insurance” to a bound policy, using AI, judgment, speed, and relentless follow-through.
About Harness
Harness is building an AI-native commercial insurance brokerage for small businesses in the US.
Insurance is still an incredibly manual industry. Producers spend too much time filling forms, chasing underwriters, comparing quotes, fixing documents, following up with customers, and moving information between systems.
We are building software and AI agents to do most of that work. The humans on our team do the harder part: make good decisions, solve problems, move fast, and win.
What you’ll do
You will work directly with our US producers and own the execution behind live customer opportunities.
A typical day might involve:
- A restaurant owner needs coverage today. Figure out what is missing and get the submission moving.
- An underwriter comes back with five questions. Get the answers and unblock the quote.
- Three quotes come back. Use AI to compare them and identify important coverage differences.
- A customer finds a cheaper competitor quote. Figure out why and help us win the account.
- A contractor needs proof of insurance in 20 minutes. Get it done correctly.
- Our AI generated something incorrectly. Catch it before it reaches the customer and help engineering fix the underlying workflow.
- A process is broken. Create the workaround, keep the customer moving, and help us make sure it never breaks that way again.
You will use ChatGPT, Claude and our internal AI systems heavily every day.
This is not a role where we hand you a checklist and expect you to repeat it forever. The software, workflows and expectations will evolve constantly.
Who we’re looking for
We care much more about how you think and operate than what industry you come from.
You might currently be in:
- B2B SaaS sales or SDR/BDR
- Customer onboarding or implementation
- Customer success
- Revenue or GTM operations
- Founder’s office
- US staffing/recruiting
- Operations at an early-stage startup
- Or something completely different where you have learned to move fast and own outcomes
Insurance experience is not required. We can teach you insurance.
We’re looking for people who:
- Are unusually sharp and learn new concepts quickly
- Have 1–5 years of experience and are hungry to accelerate their career
- Naturally take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
- Communicate clearly and confidently with US customers and partners
- Can handle a high volume of live tasks without losing attention to detail
- Use AI as a serious work tool, not just to rewrite emails
- Enjoy figuring out why something is broken
- Care about the business outcome, not just completing the assigned task
- Are genuinely comfortable working US hours
The culture
We move fast.
There will be days with back-to-back customer opportunities, urgent binds, carrier questions, software changes and things nobody has seen before.
Sometimes the process will not exist yet.
Sometimes the system will break.
Sometimes you will have to figure something out yourself, call someone, use Claude, create a workaround, tell engineering what needs fixing, and keep moving.
If that sounds exhausting, this probably isn’t the right role.
If that sounds fun, we should talk.
What success looks like
You become the person a US producer trusts completely.
They know that once an opportunity reaches you:
nothing gets dropped, nothing sits unnecessarily, errors get caught, blockers get escalated, and the account keeps moving toward a win.
Over time, we expect the best people in this role to own increasingly large parts of our sales and operations machine.
What you’ll get
- ₹15–25L compensation, depending on experience and ability
- Direct exposure to the founders and US sales team
- A front-row seat to building an AI-native company
- Significant responsibility from day one
- The opportunity to learn US commercial insurance from scratch
- A role that should expand rapidly if you are excellent
We care much less about pedigree than evidence that you are smart, fast, curious, high-agency and hungry.
If this sounds like you, apply.
