B2B Sales Manager — GIST (Global Indian Story Telling)
Sell legacies, not transactions. Build the partnerships that put Indian excellence on the world stage.
Where Storytelling Meets Strategy
Behind every Global Indian is a story worth telling — and a market waiting to hear it. At My Global Indian Story (GIST), we don't just write biographies. We turn ambition into archive, achievement into legacy, and legacy into lasting cultural and commercial impact.
We're now hiring a B2B Sales Manager to take these stories to the institutions that should already be telling them — universities, embassies, alumni networks, diaspora bodies, and global corporates.
If you can sell a vision, build an ecosystem, and turn relationships into revenue — this is your stage.
About GIST
My Global Indian Story (GIST) is a storytelling platform on a mission to document, elevate, and share the legacy of Indians around the world who are returnees, trailblazers, founders, and community builders.
With world-class writers, editors, and designers, we craft stories that become digital legacies - preserved, premium, and purposeful.
The GIST team is where narratives meet markets. We partner with diaspora organizations, universities, embassies, and creators to scale storytelling into measurable impact — through B2B partnerships, marketplace innovation, and community engagement.

Role Overview:
As B2B Sales Manager, you'll own the growth and monetization engine of GIST. While our creative teams build stories that inspire, your job is to make sure they reach the right audiences and generate sustainable revenue.
You'll lead high-value partnerships, design new sales channels, and shape the commercial strategy for the storytelling marketplace.
Location: Hyderabad | Experience: 5 – 10 Years | Type: Full-Time | Reports to: CEO/ COO
Key Responsibilities
B2B Sales & Business Development
- Sell storytelling packages to alumni associations, diaspora bodies, embassies, universities, and corporate partners.
- Build a structured outbound pipeline — research, outreach, pitch, negotiation, close.
- Convert interest into long-term commercial relationships, not one-off transactions.
Marketplace & Product Monetization
- Curate, promote, and monetize featured storytellers and their entrepreneurial ventures.
- Design and launch revenue-generating products — group licenses, legacy kits, commemorative archives, gifting bundles, and institutional packages.
- Test pricing models, bundling strategies, and channel mixes to maximize margin.
Strategic Partnerships
- Build deep, long-horizon relationships with institutions across education, diplomacy, diaspora, and DEI ecosystems.
- Embed storytelling into flagship programs — student orientation, returnee entrepreneur showcases, DEI training, alumni engagement, cultural diplomacy events.
- Position GIST as a category-defining partner, not a vendor.
Sales Funnel & CRM Excellence
- Build pricing strategies, referral incentives, and CRM-led engagement journeys.
- Own conversion metrics — lead-to-meeting, meeting-to-proposal, proposal-to-close.
- Drive retention and expansion within existing accounts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Content, Marketing, and Outreach teams.
- Translate market feedback into product and storytelling roadmap inputs.
- Align creative output with commercial outcomes without compromising either.
What We're Looking For:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. (MBA a plus.)
Experience
- 5 – 10 years in business development, B2B partnerships, ecosystem sales, or growth marketing.
- Proven track record of closing institutional deals and building long-cycle relationships.
- Preferred experience in diaspora networks, education, media, EdTech, or global platforms.
Skills & Attributes
- Ecosystem thinker : you see networks, not just leads.
- Strong narrator : you translate storytelling value into institutional ROI.
- Commercially sharp : comfortable with pricing, bundling, margins, and unit economics.
- Self-driven operator : you don't wait for playbooks; you write them.
- Genuinely passionate about Indian ambition, legacy, and global impact.
Bonus Experience
- Exposure to alumni relations, cultural diplomacy, EdTech, or the creator economy.
- Existing networks across Indian universities, diaspora organizations, embassies, or global corporates.
- Experience launching new revenue lines or commercial products from scratch.
What Success Looks Like
By Month 3 - You've mapped the institutional landscape, built a qualified pipeline across at least three partner categories, and closed your first set of pilot deals.
By Month 6 - You're running multi-channel revenue streams — institutional packages, marketplace monetization, and strategic partnerships — with clear unit economics and repeatable playbooks.
By Month 12 - You've established GIST as a recognized partner across leading universities, diaspora bodies, and global corporates — driving meaningful, predictable revenue and shaping the platform's commercial roadmap.
Why Join GIST
- Category-defining mission : spotlight Indian excellence on the global stage.
- Real ownership : you're not slotting into a sales machine; you're building it.
- Direct impact : your deals shape which legacies get preserved and how.
- High-trust culture : small team, sharp minds, zero bureaucracy.
- Storytelling-led, commerce-driven : meaning and metrics, not one or the other.
Our Culture
- Story first, sales second : but never one without the other.
- Bias for legacy : we build things meant to last.
- High craft, high speed : quality is non-negotiable; momentum is constant.
- Pride without ego : we take the work seriously, not ourselves.
- Global outlook, Indian soul : rooted, but always reaching outward.
You'll work alongside writers, designers, technologists, and operators who believe Indian stories deserve a bigger stage and are building it, deal by deal.
